THE VERTIFLEX PROCEDURE
This state-of-the-art procedure offers patients suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis a minimally invasive alternative to more intense surgical options, such as a laminectomy or spinal fusion.
The Vertiflex procedure is designed to deliver long-term relief from the leg and back pain associated with lumbar spinal stenosis. Dr. Nelson has implanted the greatest number of vertiflex procedures in Washington state and instructs other physicians on performing this procedure.
Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS)
Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) offers a non-opioid, FDA approved alternative when other chronic pain treatments have failed. SCS uses small electrical currents to block pain signals traveling between the spinal cord and the brain, which can help with pain relief.
Dr. Nelson has extensive experience performing spinal cord stimulator implants. He has the most experience with SCS in our area and has been implanting spinal cord stimulators since the early 90’s.
